Why enter The Consultancy Awards?

We recognise that consulting firms everywhere are doing incredible work, making an impact across the globe, across industries and across walks of life. That is at the heart of why we have set up The Consultancy Awards.
In our work to support growing boutique consultancies, we see evidence of these outstanding contributions and the difference they make every day – and it’s time to shout about it.

Let’s be honest, it’s tough to stand out. Every client wants to know how you are different and what makes you better than your competitors. Every consulting firm will say they are different. They will share glowing client testimonials and success stories (which is great because if we didn’t have some happy clients then we wouldn’t survive) but the prospective client is left wondering, can they trust what you say?
Winning an industry award provides:
- a level of external validation of the quality of your work
- objective evidence that you stand out from the crowd.
Awards can also be the key to getting closer to a client, encouraging them to invest in a programme of change through the incentive of winning an award in partnership with you; they enable a level of reward and recognition for your team that is hard to replicate; and they provide an increasingly rare opportunity to get together in person and take a moment to celebrate consulting excellence.
A word from the founder
“At my former consulting firm, Blue Sky, we won 31 awards in 7 years. It was a major differentiator for our business. It provided a great source of validation and celebration in our team. In fact, nearly all our consultants were involved in an award-winning programme at some point.
This level of recognition meant that clients no longer needed convincing of our credentials. They became confident that our approach was the right one, and the conversation turned far more to the nature of the solution and whether they could afford to do it ‘the right way’. We entered awards with our clients in partnership and it brought us closer.
On a personal level, such external recognition made me feel proud of our achievements and engendered a feeling that ‘we were special’, which as you can imagine worked wonders for our retention. People want to be part of a high-performing team.
All this is why I’m such a believer in the power of The Consultancy Awards.”
Marc Jantzen, Founder & CEO
The Consultancy Awards are certified with the Awards Trust Mark and they are totally independent. Any management consultancy firm can enter, from any geography, with no membership requirements. The awards criteria have been put together by a team of successful consultancy founders who know what best practice looks like, with over 100 combined years of consulting experience between them. Furthermore, each judge has built and sold at least one consulting firm for between £10m and £30m.
Designed by consultancy leaders, for consultancy leaders, the process has been devised to be as unstuffy, helpful and straightforward as possible. The emphasis is on mutual support, excellence, insight and – yes – fun.
We have deliberately kept the cost of entry down to encourage as many people to enter as possible. Even if you don’t win, we commit to giving feedback on all entries to support your learning process and set you up for future awards success – it’s a win/win!
